Description:
Position will float between units as needed.
Weekends are required every other week.
Block schedules are required.
Expected patient ratios are 1:4.Experience in administration of chemotherapy and monitoring chemotherapy is essential.
Candidates must have skills in management of ports and central line care.
Ability to manage acute tumor lysis syndrome and anaphylaxis is required.
Knowledge of extravasation injury and sepsis management is essential.
Candidates should be familiar with spinal cord compression and chest tube care.
Awareness of neutropenic precautions is important.
Experience in managing symptoms such as altered mental status, constipation/diarrhea, and nausea/vomiting is necessary.
Familiarity with patient diagnoses related to oncology is required.
Traveling staff may be required to float to other units based on skill sets.
Refusal to float may result in termination of assignments.
Communication devices will be provided for the completion of duties as assigned.
All required documentation and references must be provided prior to the start of the contract.
This position requires a commitment to working three of the five major holidays.
