American Traveler is hiring an experienced CVOR RN for a cardiovascular operating room position requiring prior scrub experience and on‑call availability for cardiac emergencies.

• Work in the CVOR (Cardiovascular Operating Room) of a short-term acute care teaching hospital
• Day shift schedule, 3x12 hour shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM)
• Weekend coverage required once per month (Saturday 0600 to Monday 0600)
• On-call required for cardiac emergencies, including scrub and circulator responsibilities
• No floating between units required, though floating to sister facilities may occur based on skill set
• Epic EMR used for charting
• No 48-hour shifts approved
• No contracts longer than 12 weeks accepted

• Active RN license, compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• OR RN license required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience required
• Cardiac scrub experience required (hardstop requirement)
• Epic charting experience required
• Experience with procedures including CABG, aortic aneurysm repair, femoral cannulation, IABP, mitral valve replacement, pericardial window, and ventricular assist device (LVAD/RVAD)
• Experience with administration of blood and blood products, cardiac monitoring, specimen handling/labeling, and Universal Protocol (time out) procedures
• Experience with equipment including electrosurgical units, fiber optic light sources/cords, and Steris
• Must have a vehicle for this assignment
• Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required

• Perform scrub and circulator duties in the CVOR, including response to cardiac emergencies
• May work in Hybrid OR settings
• Scrub attire: any color for general units, provided for OR/Cath Lab
• No parking fees at this facility
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• RTO requests should be submitted upfront during the application process, as post-offer requests may not be accommodated
• First-time travelers considered on a case-by-case basis with strong preference for those with prior scrub experience
• Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate
• Candidates must reside within 50 miles for local rate consideration
• Former Providence permanent staff may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period, provided they are not within 50 miles of the facility
• Only one active submission to a Providence facility permitted at a time
