Nurse Practitioner – Occupational Medicine & Urgent Care

Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) for a locum tenens opportunity in Portland, Oregon
, providing a hands‑on mix of occupational medicine and walk‑in urgent care
.

This opportunity is ideal for an NP comfortable moving between work‑related injury care, employer physicals and acute outpatient visits
. You'll evaluate and treat occupational injuries, perform DOT and other employment‑related examinations, manage walk‑in urgent care patients, perform appropriate office procedures, and communicate with employers regarding patient care and work status.

Clinical Scope
  • Evaluate and treat workplace injuries and illnesses
  • Manage initial and follow‑up occupational injury visits
  • Perform DOT physical examinations
  • Perform public‑safety and medical‑surveillance physicals
  • Evaluate and treat common walk‑in urgent care presentations
  • Provide patient education and follow‑up
  • Communicate with employers regarding occupational cases and medical guidance
  • Complete timely clinical documentation
What We're Looking For
  • Current clinical experience appropriate for an outpatient occupational medicine or urgent care setting
  • Comfortable evaluating and treating work‑related injuries
  • Comfortable managing walk‑in acute‑care presentations
  • Experience performing physical examinations and appropriate office procedures
  • Strong clinical documentation and communication skills
  • Comfortable working directly with employers as part of occupational injury management

Experience in Occupational Medicine, Urgent Care, Employee Health, Worker's Compensation or a similar outpatient environment is especially relevant.
