Portland Parks & Recreation provides equitable access to welcoming places, programs, and services that improve community health and the environment, focusing on making parks safe, accessible, and responsive to diverse community needs through stewardship, equity, safety, and fostering well‑being for all residents.

Join Portland Parks & Recreation and Forest Park Conservancy to remove noxious weeds, plant native plants and other stewardship tasks in Marquam Nature Park. By removing noxious weeds, encouraging natural regeneration and planting a diversity of native plant species we help to enhance wildlife habitat, reduce erosion and limit water runoff. This is a great way to get outside and enjoy nature.

Please bring your own water bottle, wear closed‑toe shoes, and dress for the weather. Instructions, tools, and gloves will be provided. For the safety of staff and other volunteers, please stay home if you are feeling sick.

  Volunteers under 16 must either attend with a parent/adult, or bring a waiver.
