Hands-On Nature Restoration Volunteer; Ages 6

Portland Parks & Rec reaction provides equitable access to welcoming places, programs, and services that improve community health and the environment, focusing on making parks safe, accessible, and responsive to diverse community needs through stewardship, equity, safety, and fostering well-being for all residents.

Join Portland Parks & Recreation and Friends of Woods Park to Steward Woods Memorial Natural Area. Removing invasively growing species and planting diversity of native plants encourages regeneration of native plants, prevents erosion and prevents water runoff. This is a great way to get outside and connect with nature!

Please bring your own water bottle, wear closed toe shoes, and dress for the weather. Instructions, tools, and gloves will be provided. For the safety of staff and other volunteers, please stay home if you are feeling sick.

  Volunteers under 16 must either attend with a parent/adult, or bring a waiver.
