Our teams work collaboratively to ensure our facilities meet all OLCC and state regulatory requirements while continuously improving internal systems and risk prevention strategies.

Position Overview

The Cannabis Compliance Specialist plays a key role in supporting Golden Grail Group’s compliance and regulatory readiness across Oregon operations. This position helps ensure day-to-day compliance practices are consistently followed and that internal monitoring systems remain accurate, organized, and proactive.

This role will conduct routine inspections, assist with audit preparation, support compliance reporting, and help identify trends or risk areas. The Compliance Specialist will work closely with operational leaders to strengthen compliance processes through improved training, documentation, and SOP development.

Responsibilities
  • Licensing and Documentation
  • Support facility licensing activities, including renewals, inspections, and new license preparation
  • Maintain organized records of cannabis licensing, permits, and related certifications
  • Track renewal timelines and compliance deadlines to ensure requirements are met on schedule
  • Communicate upcoming deadlines and potential risks to appropriate stakeholders
  • Regulatory Awareness and Training Support
  • Stay current on OLCC rule changes and Oregon regulatory updates affecting cannabis operations
  • Provide regular updates on regulatory changes and potential impacts to company processes
  • Assist with compliance communication and training initiatives as policies and procedures evolve
  • Compliance Inspections and Audits
  • Perform compliance checks at company locations and document findings
  • Conduct inventory audits and reconcile results to support inventory accuracy and METRC integrity
  • Complete quarterly OSHA and workplace safety audits and report outcomes
  • Support corrective action planning and follow-up tracking as needed
  • Supervisory Responsibility
  • This position does not include direct supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications
  • Two (2) or more years of professional compliance experience required
  • Cannabis industry experience preferred; experience in retail or hospitality environments is a plus
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Must hold a valid OLCC Marijuana Worker Permit or be able to obtain one prior to start date
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills with high attention to detail
  • Understanding of Oregon cannabis regulations and compliance expectations
  • Familiarity with cannabis products, terminology, and general industry knowledge
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage competing responsibilities
  • Ability to adapt to regulatory and operational changes in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work effectively across departments and build strong working relationships

This position will involve regular travel between Oregon facilities and periodic on-site compliance inspections.
