• Apply engineering theory and practical knowledge, under minimal direction, to build, test, and/or repair opto‑mechanical and opto‑electrical devices.
• Work on assignments of moderate difficulty, using judgment to resolve issues and make recommendations.
• Demonstrate familiarity with automated test procedures and test theory, and assess measured results for reasonableness.
• Troubleshoot test equipment and electro‑mechanical devices to determine appropriate repair actions.
• Understand company policies and procedures to complete tasks.
• Use software tools for data analysis and reporting.
• Work independently with little instruction on daily tasks; receive detailed instructions on newly introduced assignments.

Must Have:

• High school diploma (or equivalent, e.g., G.E.D.) or vocational/technical education in a related discipline with at least 1 year of relevant experience.
• 1+ year of manufacturing experience.
• Experience in troubleshooting and problem solving.
• U.S. Person status as defined above.
• Ability to interpret schematics and/or technical drawings.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Attention to detail to ensure safety and quality.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi‑task.
• Effective teamwork skill for a fast‑paced environment.
• Intermediate computer skills (typing, navigating screens, learning new software).
• Analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to take direction from experienced coworkers, leads, and supervisors.

Preferred:

• Understanding of optical performance characteristics for elements such as LCDs, polarize rs, lenses, filters, films, and diffusers.
• Manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
• Career Readiness Certification (CRC) strongly preferred.
• Experience with assembly instruction and reading safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to work in an environment requiring repetitive job responsibilities.

Salary range: $38,841 – $72,849.
