This is a hands‑on position with real impact across all of our 9 locations.
WhatYou Will Do Training & Education – 45%
- Safety Training Program:
Develop the schedule, format, and content for all company safety training, including new employees, tailgate talks, and annual training sessions. Deliver training consistently across all locations to ensure every employee receives the same high standard of instruction. - Training Documentation:
Maintain accurate and complete records of all safety training sessions, including attendance logs, topics covered, and dates. Ensure records are organized and readily available for internal review or regulatory inspection. - Equipment Training & Certification:
Create, implement, and maintain a comprehensive equipment training program for both new and existing employees. Track certification status and expiration dates to keep all employees current and compliant.

Own the resolution process from start to finish—whether by personally correcting the issue or coordinating with the appropriate sub/personnel to ensure it is addressed. This position is responsible for every step, from identification through confirmed resolution. - Accident Investigation:
Lead thorough and objective investigations for all workplace accidents and incidents. Report findings clearly to all relevant parties within required time frames, and develop targeted corrective action plans designed to prevent recurrence. - Accident Record Management:
Maintain organized and complete records of all accident reports in accordance with company policy and regulatory requirements. Analyze trends in accident data to identify patterns and recommend strategies for reducing future incidents. - Workers’ Compensation Management:
Manage the workers’ compensation process end‑to‑end, including timely claim reporting, ongoing coordination with the company's WC carrier, and direct communication with affected employees throughout the claims process.
- Standards Monitoring:
Monitor workplace safety standards to ensure ongoing compliance with all applicable Local, State, and Federal regulations, including OSHA, DOT/FMCSA, and DOA. Proactively communicate regulatory updates and revise company policies as requirements change. - Inspections & Regulatory Requests:
Serve as the primary point of contact for all safety‑related inspections and regulatory requests. Coordinate and respond to OSHA inspections, fire marshal visits, fire extinguisher checks, and assessments of safe operations throughout company facilities. - Annual OSHA Reporting:
Prepare and submit all required annual OSHA reports accurately and on time. Maintain supporting documentation throughout the year to ensure a smooth and complete reporting process. - DOT/FMCSA Compliance:
Support the company's compliance with DOT/FMCSA regulations by assisting with the processes and procedures that apply to drivers and operators of company‑owned or leased equipment.
- Safety Committee:
Chair the company safety committee, fostering a positive, action‑oriented culture focused on proactive injury and accident prevention. Guide the committee in setting goals, reviewing incidents, and driving meaningful safety improvements. - Commercial Bid Support:
Support the commercial departments by gathering and preparing safety‑related documentation required for bidding on commercial jobs. This includes compiling safety plans, compliance records, certifications, and any other safety materials that clients or project owners require as part of the bid…
