Actalent is currently sourcing and screening for a direct hire role with a client in the Portland area. We are seeking a Quality Control (& Safety) Manager to oversee the quality of industrial mechanical components coming from vendors, ensuring they meet high standards and comply with legal requirements. This role focuses on managing quality and safety within a distribution center environment, fostering a culture of safety and quality among all employees.

• Manage and ensure the quality of industrial mechanical components from vendors.
• Create and lead a culture of quality and safety for all employees.
• Handle warehouse safety responsibilities.
• Complete smaller safety reports, incident reports, and conduct investigations.
• Collaborate with the Quality team to maintain compliance with regulatory standards.

• Ideal profile is someone having worked up from Quality Technician or Specialist and into a Quality Supervisor, QC Lead, or similar title.
• 2-3+ years of experience in quality control.
• Experience on a safety committee.
• Knowledge of safety training, EHS, and quality assurance.
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements such as REACH, RoHS, CMRT, PFAS, Prop
  65, TSCA, and USMCA.

• ASQ certification preferred.
• Experience with corrective action plans.
• Ability to adapt to company culture and suggest improvements.
• Potential to grow into an engineering or mid-management role.

The position operates within a distribution facility, requiring hands-on work alongside the Quality Tech and labor staff on the floor. The company supports employee growth and provides an environment where long tenure is common. Employees can expect support from the parent company for annual safety reports and safety video training.

This is a Permanent position based out of Portland, OR.

The pay range for this position is $70,000.00 - $80,000.00/yr.
