QA Manager required for Food & Beverage Manufacturer

We're looking for an experienced QA Manager to lead food safety, quality, sanitation, and regulatory compliance programs within a manufacturing environment. This role will oversee quality systems, audits, risk management, continuous improvement initiatives, and quality teams while driving a strong food safety culture across the facility.
The QA / Technical Services Manager will have the following responsibilities:
- Lead all food safety, quality, sanitation, and regulatory compliance programs
- Maintain and improve HACCP, Food Safety Plan (FSP), traceability, recall, and prerequisite programs
- Prepare for and lead regulatory, third-party, customer, and certification audits
- Manage non-conforming product investigations, corrective actions, and risk assessments
- Develop, implement, and maintain SOPs, SSOPs, and quality documentation systems
- Drive food safety culture initiatives and quality improvement programs across the facility
- Lead consumer complaint investigations and implement preventive measures
- Monitor quality metrics, analyze data, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement
- Manage ingredient, packaging, sensory, and supplier quality programs
- Provide leadership, coaching, and development for quality and laboratory teams
- Partner with Operations and cross-functional teams to standardize processes and share best practices
- Manage department budgets, resources, and cost improvement initiatives
The ideal QA / Technical Services Manager candidate will have the following skillset:
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or a related field
- 3+ years of quality systems leadership experience within food manufacturing
- HACCP, PCQI, and SQF Practitioner certifications required
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, GMPs, HACCP, FSMA, and quality management systems
- Experience with regulatory, customer, and third-party audits
- Strong root cause analysis, corrective action, and risk assessment capabilities
- Advanced analytical, statistical, and problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to lead teams, manage projects, and drive cross-functional collaboration
- Experience with continuous improvement and Lean Manufacturing methodologies preferred
- Thermal Processing and Acidified Foods experience preferred
