Position: Realty Technician (Hybrid)

Our client, a leading Pacific Northwest utility provider committed to public service and environmental stewardship, is seeking a Realty Technician to support their Real Property Field Services team. This opportunity is available in multiple locations, including Portland, The Dalles, Wenatchee, Grand Coulee, and Pasco. In this role, you will provide professional realty support in both office and field settings, assisting with the acquisition, management, and disposition of real property rights that support critical infrastructure projects.

You will partner closely with Realty Specialists and project teams to monitor land use activities, support property agreements, and help ensure effective management of land rights across a large regional service territory.

Pay Range: $40.00 – 42.75/hr., DOE

Location: Multiple Locations:
Portland, OR, The Dalles, OR, Wenatchee, WA, Grand Coulee, WA, and Pasco, WA –
HYBRID – 2-days per week onsite.

Key Responsibilities for the Realty Technician:
  • Review and analyze property rights, ownership records, and title documents to support land use requests and acquisition activities.
  • Prepare acquisition packages, land use agreements, and related documentation using established templates and processes.
  • Coordinate with appraisers, surveyors, mappers, and project teams to support acquisition strategies and real property projects.
  • Assist with reviewing legal descriptions, agreements, and property documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
  • Facilitate routine property management cases and support more complex cases under the guidance of senior staff.
  • Monitor real estate–related agreements and documentation to verify compliance with policies and requirements.
  • Draft correspondence, memorandums, and communications related to real property activities.
  • Serve as a liaison between project teams, contractors, landowners, and internal stakeholders before, during, and after construction activities.
  • Support field inspections by observing contractor work, documenting conditions, and reporting findings to project leadership.
  • Respond to inquiries from landowners, developers, public agencies, and utility partners regarding property rights and land use activities.
  • Conduct site visits, property research, and stakeholder meetings to support land use applications and acquisition efforts.
  • Utilize internal systems, mapping tools, and public records databases to research property information and maintain accurate records.
  • Provide administrative and coordination support, including document management, file maintenance, and records compliance activities.
  • Support maintenance and construction teams with landowner notifications, property information, and real property documentation.
Requirements/Qualification for the Realty Technician.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Associate’s degree in Real Estate, Business, Public Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of related experience in real property, land management, real estate services, or a similar field.
  • Experience applying real estate principles, practices, and procedures, including familiarity with government or regulated real property processes.
  • Knowledge of real property documentation such as deeds, mortgages, liens, title reports, and assessor or property records.
  • Experience supporting land acquisition, property rights management, or real estate transactions.
  • Familiarity with land data systems, mapping tools, GIS platforms, or property research resources.
  • Ability to coordinate projects involving multiple stakeholders, including technical teams, contractors, and external partners.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage documentation, records, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience working within utility, infrastructure, transportation, or government environments.
