Overview
TI Clinical Research Assistant II position will serve as a study coordinator for clinical trial activity as directed by the Principal Investigators within the Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Clinical Nutrition. Involved in the conduct of therapeutic interventional human participant research; the development and/or management of regulatory compliance with clinical research protocols. Screens, enrolls, recruits, and retain research participants. Coordinates study visits, research schedules, obtain consent, blood draws, sample collections, monitors research activities, participation, etc.
Collaborates with various OHSU departments to operationalize research protocol.
- Perform research clinic visits (recruiting, contacting, scheduling, conducting research visits, data entry)
- Presenting reports of study visit progress to Research Project Manager
- Additional duties as assigned. This may include but is not limited to filing and organizing study folders.
- Bachelor s in relevant field OR
- Associate s AND 2 years of relevant experience OR
- 3 years of relevant experience OR
- Equivalent combination of training and experience
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Bachelor s degree with major courses in the field of research is preferred.
- Working with others to complete tasks. Experience in working with research projects.
- Basic clinical examination & vital signs assessment is preferred. Knowledge of phlebotomy also preferred.
- Basic life support, phlebotomy trained
- This position will carry out the job responsibilities in an ethical, effective and professional manner. Will have to handle specimen (urine, blood). Will set work schedule with PI and Research Project Manager.
- This position involves walking to different locations around the hospital during research visits. Ability to work at a computer for up to four hours at a time. This position also requires being able to lift and carry boxes of documents.
