This Research Assistant will support the Transition Coalition Self‑Study+ (TCSS+) grant in the Department of Leadership, Learning, & Counseling. The role involves coordinating research activities during the last two years of the project (2026‑2027 and 2027‑2028), including recruitment, data collection, data summarization, and using analyzed data to inform the final intervention. Day‑to‑day oversight and task assignment will be provided by Dr.
Mary Morningstar, the principal investigator.
- Coordinate research activities and timelines for the TCSS+ grant.
- Recruit participants and manage data collection processes.
- Summarize and analyze collected data using appropriate tools.
- Prepare reports and support the final intervention design.
- Assist in editing and enhancing existing research procedures.
- Maintain accurate records and utilize Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in education or related field.
- One (1) or more years of experience supporting research projects.
- Demonstrated ability to develop, edit, and enhance research procedures with supervision.
- Strong administrative skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with focused research or evaluation tasks, including data management and online data collection.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Total Compensation & Benefits StatementStarting annual salary at 1.0 FTE: $68,016, subject to negotiation based on experience and budget. Benefits include 95% premium‑paid healthcare, a generous retirement and vacation package, and reduced tuition rates for eligible employees, spouses, or dependents at OSU schools.
