Research Assistant

The Fey Lab at Reed College is looking for a Research Assistant to work on an NSF funded project aimed at understanding the ecological consequences of thermal refuges. You will be working in both a field and lab setting to explore ecological questions, exploring the consequences of variation in environmental conditions for amphibian, fish, zooplankton, and phytoplankton populations. As a part of a research team, strong organizational and communication skills and the ability to work in teams is required.

The candidate is also expected to contribute to the data analysis and writing of scientific manuscripts, which require experience/knowledge of scientific writing and communication. This role reports to Professor Samuel Fey.

This is a full-time, one year appointment with the possibility of extension. Typical work hours are M-F, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with a one hour unpaid lunch.

The starting pay for this position is $XX/hour. Pay offers are contingent upon experience and are determined through an internal pay assessment. This is an overtime eligible position in the Research pay grade.
