Salary: $19.00 – $19.50 hourly

Barbur World Foods is seeking a motivated and dependable Produce Lead to help oversee the daily operations of our Produce Department. This position plays a key role in maintaining high‑quality products, supporting team members, and delivering excellent customer service in a fast‑paced grocery environment.

• Support daily produce department operations, including stocking, ordering, rotation, and merchandising
• Maintain fresh, clean, and visually appealing produce displays
• Assist with inventory management and minimizing product waste
• Help supervise and support produce department team members
• Provide outstanding customer service and product assistance
• Ensure food safety, cleanliness, and sanitation standards are maintained
• Assist with department organization and operational efficiency

• Previous produce, grocery, or retail leadership experience preferably
• Valid Food Handler’s license required
• Strong knowledge of produce handling, rotation, merchandising, and food safety practices
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced retail environment
• Strong communication, leadership, and customer service skills
• Dependable attendance and punctuality
• Ability to multitask and adapt to changing business needs
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods
• Flexible availability including weekends and holidays as needed
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English effectively
• Adaptability, strong work ethic, team‑oriented mindset, attention to detail, critical thinking, professionalism and respect toward coworkers and customers
