Market of Choice is seeking a full-time Security Specialist.

This position will join our Market of Choice Loss Prevention Team. As a Security Specialist, the ideal candidate will be familiar with the operations/implementation of general security functions, will have previous customer service experience and will focus on employee and customer safety.

DUTIES

As a Security Specialist, some of your job duties will include:

Act as a visual deterrent for criminal activity in the store
Partner with Store Management to determine the safest approach in dealing with criminal activity or disruptions in the business
Have the ability to de-escalate tense confrontations through the use of superior customer service
Observe and report unsafe activities and conditions
Help create a pleasant in-store atmosphere for our customers
Implement store policies and keep secure records
Perform tasks as directed by the Loss Prevention department

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

Valid OR drivers license and reliable transportation
Professional, courteous, and calm attitude
Excellent observation and planning skills
Ability to think clearly under pressure
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Basic knowledge of local & state laws
18 years or older

Preferred Qualifications:

Proficiency using MS Office
Preference will be given to applicants with previous experience in security
Applicants must be available for weekends, after hours, and occasional out of town and overnight work.
