This is a full-time, on-site role for a Group Sales Manager located in Portland, OR. The Group Sales Manager will be responsible for driving group sales efforts by building and maintaining strong relationships with potential and existing clients. Key responsibilities include identifying and securing business opportunities, developing and executing sales strategies, preparing proposals and contracts, managing client accounts, and collaborating with internal departments to ensure the successful execution of group events.
The role also involves meeting sales targets, reporting on sales performance, and representing the hotel at industry events and meetings.
- Proven sales skills, including relationship-building, account management, and client negotiation
- Strong ability to develop and implement tailored sales strategies and client-focused proposals
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience in presentation delivery
- Organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Familiarity with the hospitality industry or related fields is preferred
- Proficiency with CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality Management, Marketing, or a related field is preferred
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
