This is a full-time hybrid position based in Portland, Oregon. The Sales Associate is responsible for representing, selling, and servicing Moda Health’s Individual, Medical, Dental, and Medicare Supplement insurance products. This role directly supports the Individual and Medicare Supplement Sales Executives with administrative, operational, and strategic responsibilities. Key responsibilities include engaging with potential and existing clients through inbound and outbound calls, providing expert advice, and facilitating the enrollment process across multiple states where Moda operates.
The objective of this role is to contribute to the financial and membership growth of Moda Health and its affiliates.
$45,511.22 -$56,894.29salary (depending on experience)
* Actual pay is based on qualifications. Applicants who do not exceed the minimum qualifications will only be eligible for the low end of the pay range.

Education:
- College degree preferred, or 2 years’ experience in health insurance, employee benefits/administration, or sales and account management.
- Maintain current Alaska, Oregon, Texas, and Idaho health insurance licenses.
- Maintain a valid driver’s license and ability to travel on business, including overnight.
- Ability to handle a pushcart/hand truck and lift boxes up to 40 lbs. in and out of a vehicle.
- Strong sales and presentation skills; ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Knowledge of medical, pharmacy, and dental insurance as it relates to contracts and state/federal law.
- Knowledge of enrollment and eligibility systems, claims processing, billing, and customer service functions.
- Knowledge of the competitive landscape, market position, and plan differentiators.
- Consultative approach to building long-term relationships with brokers and customers, with the ability to interact effectively to retain membership and sell new business.
- Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Professional appearance and demeanor in all internal and external interactions.
- Handleinboundcallsfrom currentandprospectiveclients, answering questions, educating on product offerings, and completing enrollments.
- Conduct, track, and report monthly outbound calls to prospective clients andexistingmembers, advising on plan options and Medicare Supplement continuation coverage.
- Support the Individual and Medicare Supplement Sales Executives with administrative tasks, requests, and projects.
