As a Security Officer - Retail Patrol in PORTLAND, OR
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer in a retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to discourage security-related incidents. You will greet shoppers and store teams, assist with questions, observe and report concerns, and communicate clearly with site contacts.

• Provide customer service to guests and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a retail location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with medical calls, disputes, and/or suspicious activity.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the sales floor, stock areas, entrances, and the exterior perimeter to help deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or policy concerns.
• Control access as directed by post orders by monitoring entrances, checking credentials when required, and directing visitors, deliveries, and/or contractors to the appropriate areas.
• Complete detailed reports and maintain security-related logs, including documenting incidents, patrol activity, and observations from cameras and/or alarm systems when assigned.

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
