Security Officer - Roving Patrol, Portland, OR Position Type:Full Time Pay Rate: $20.91 / Hour

- Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and/or visitors by following site-specific procedures, access requirements, and other security-related policies.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout the automotive facility, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards or maintenance concerns.
- Monitor and respond to alarms, suspicious activity, and/or critical incidents in a calm, problem‑solving manner, escalating to site leadership and/or emergency services as appropriate.
- Control access at designated entry points by verifying identification, directing traffic flow, and logging visitor and/or contractor activity per site requirements.
- Complete detailed incident reports, patrol logs, and shift handoff notes, and communicate observed issues promptly to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.
- Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
- CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post‑hire.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
