Security Officer Unarmed Patrol

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol in Portland, OR, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security‑related incidents, and support daily operations through strong customer service and communication.

Full Time

$19.50 / Hour

Monday – Sunday: 02:00 PM – 10:00 PM

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or drivers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting relevant details and reporting unusual activity through proper channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout loading areas, parking areas, trailer yards, dock doors, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and/or identify potential concerns.
• Monitor entry and exit activity for personnel, visitors, and/or deliveries, verifying credentials, following post orders, and supporting site traffic flow.
• Support loss prevention efforts by observing package handling areas, reporting damaged property and/or suspicious behavior, and communicating with site contacts regarding security-related concerns.

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
