As a Security Guard - Overnight Shift in Portland, OR
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic commercial real estate location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. • Day Time Wed 10:00 PM – 06:00 AM
• Day Time Thu 10:00 PM – 06:00 AM

• Day Time Sun 10:00 PM – 06:00 AM

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with property management and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the property, including lobbies, common areas, parking areas, perimeters, and other assigned locations, helping to identify unusual activity and security‑related concerns.
• Monitor access points, observe visitor and contractor activity, and report maintenance, lighting, and property issues that could impact daily operations or security‑related operations.
• Support a professional atmosphere by providing directions, answering questions, and assisting with site procedures while maintaining awareness of the surrounding environment and reporting suspicious behavior.

• Able to ride a bike.
• Ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
