Job SummaryThe Overnight Building Caretaker is an entry-level role responsible for providing a safe and secure environment for all persons and property within Mt. Hood Meadows Resort, including but not limited to; equipment, offices, restaurants, properties, and retail locations. This may include foot patrols, checking locks, checking for hazards, emergency readiness, completion of detailed reports, and reporting issues to management. Our ideal candidate demonstrates diligence and integrity, while enhancing guest experience.

- Minimum Age 19 for company insurance purposes
- Valid driver's license with the ability to be insured to operate company vehicles
- Working knowledge of basic math, English grammar, writing and spelling for completion of required documentation
- Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision; dependable
- Basic computer knowledge, preferably with Microsoft Office Suite
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be comfortable with the changing dynamics of a seasonal business
- Must be able to commit to working overnights
Work partially outside in a variety of weather conditions Enforce all Mt. Hood Meadows Ski Resort rules & regulations Keep detailed logs and records daily Lock and unlock doors Complete lights out procedure nightly Work independently Routine structured patrols around the main lodge and outbuildings. Assist MHM management with employee/guest conflicts Operate and monitor Security Surveillance System. Respond to Hazardous Situations and take appropriate actions Operate Fire Alarm System Carry out the Mission, Vision, Goals and Core Values of Mt Hood Meadows Maintain confidentiality of all employee, guest, and company information.
Handle sensitive security information, surveillance footage, and incident reports with discretion and confidentiality. Carry out the mission, vision, goals and Core Values of Mt Hood Meadows. Perform additional tasks as requested
Physical Requirements:
Regularly walk, stand, sit, kneel, bend, crouch, crawl, stoop, balance, climb, and hike on steep and uneven terrain. Reach with hands and arms, use hands for fine manipulation while wearing gloves, and safely operate manual and power-operated tools. Lifting and/or carrying: regularly lift up to 40 lbs independently and occasionally lift up to 75 lbs with assistance. Work around moving mechanical parts, machinery, fumes, and airborne particles.
Work outdoors in varying weather conditions and mountain environments.…
