Job Description

Multnomah Athletic Club is more than Portland’s most legendary hub of sports and socializing. It’s like a small city unto itself. Where else can you find four restaurants, three pools, a climbing gym, state-of-the-art studios and fitness suite, a complex of racquet sport courts, massage offerings, a boutique, plus a grand ballroom and variety of events spaces all in one place?

To say that every employee of MAC has room to move is an understatement almost as big as MAC’s 600,000 square feet of recreational possibilities.

Want a career with a future? A campus worth exploring? A one-of-a-kind community on which you can have a direct impact? MAC is all of those things and more.

The Role

The Safety and Security Supervisor supports the daily operations of the Safety & Security Department, providing operational leadership across security, safety, emergency response, and parking functions. This role serves as the day-to-day lead for assigned department activities, helping ensure services are delivered consistently, professionally, and safely while supporting a positive experience for members, guests, and employees.

Working closely with the Safety & Security Manager, contracted security personnel, and cross-functional Club teams, the Supervisor assists with incident response, emergency preparedness, safety initiatives, vendor oversight, and parking operations while helping maintain a safe and welcoming environment throughout the Club.

What You'll Do

  • Support daily security operations by coordinating with the Club's contracted security vendor and serving as a primary operational resource for routine questions, concerns, and communication.
  • Monitor vendor performance and help ensure security expectations, patrol standards, communication protocols, and service requirements are consistently met.
  • Assist with incident response, emergency procedures, investigations, documentation, follow-up activities, and communication with Club leadership.
  • Identify and communicate security concerns, service gaps, or operational issues to the Safety & Security Manager.
  • Provide operational support to the Manager on Duty, security personnel, Club Operations, and other departments as needed.
  • Coordinate access requests, contractor activity, and vendor compliance with Club policies and safety expectations.
  • Support approved camera reviews, access-related investigations, and follow-up actions related to security concerns.
  • Assist with daily safety operations, including hazard identification, corrective actions, inspections, emergency equipment checks, and safety-related systems.
  • Participate in medical and emergency response activities within the scope of training and certification.
  • Support employee safety training, emergency drills, documentation, procedural updates, and department communications.
  • Assist with workplace injury follow-up and workers' compensation administration as directed.
  • Oversee daily parking operations, including parking systems, pay-to-park functions, equipment, facilities, revenue collection, and member service needs.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for parking inquiries, complaints, citations, access concerns, event parking, and operational issues.
  • Monitor parking areas for safety, traffic flow, lighting concerns, hazards, and maintenance needs.
  • Support parking enforcement, event setup, staffing coordination, citation processing, and communication with internal departments.
  • Act as a backup operational contact for routine safety, security, and parking matters when the Safety & Security Manager is unavailable.
  • Support department projects, special events, emergency situations, operational changes, and other duties as assigned.

What You'll Bring

  • Supervisory, lead, or operational experience in safety, security, parking operations, hospitality, facilities, or a related field.
  • Strong leadership, communication, customer service, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions, exercise good judgment, and maintain professionalism in both routine and high-pressure…
