Armed Security Guard Portland, Oregon | Kerberos

Kerberos International, Inc. is hiring experienced Armed Protective Security Officers for a federal security assignment in Portland, Oregon. Full-time and part-time positions are available, with multiple shifts potentially offered.

This position requires previous firearms experience, strong communication skills and the ability to maintain a professional presence while interacting with employees, visitors and members of the public. Successful applicants must be capable of working independently and as part of a security team, preparing clear written reports, providing quality customer service and responding effectively during emergencies.

Applicants must:

• Be at least 21 years old
• Possess a high school diploma or GED
• Have previous firearms experience
• Be fluent in written and spoken English
• Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Communicate effectively with the public
• Prepare clear and accurate written reports
• Work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Maintain a neat and professional appearance
• Demonstrate a friendly and professional demeanor
• Provide quality customer service
• Handle emergency situations efficiently and effectively

• Two years of armed security experience obtained within the past five years
• Two years of active or reserve service in the U.S. military or National Guard
• Successful completion of state-certified law enforcement education and training
• Successful completion of a police officer standard training course

• DHS Homeland Security Federal Protective Service clearance
