QualificationsApplicants must:
- Be at least 21 years old
- Possess a high school diploma or GED
- Have previous firearms experience

- Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Communicate effectively with the public
- Prepare clear and accurate written reports
- Work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Maintain a neat and professional appearance
- Demonstrate a friendly and professional demeanor
- Provide quality customer service
- Handle emergency situations efficiently and effectively
- Two years of armed security experience obtained within the past five years
- Two years of active or reserve service in the U.S. military or National Guard
- Successful completion of state-certified law enforcement education and training
- Successful completion of a police officer standard training course
- DHS Homeland Security Federal Protective Service clearance
