We are seeking a reliable, skilled Handyman / Facilities Maintenance to support the ongoing maintenance and repair needs of a commercial office building in Portland, Oregon, as well as the private residence of the Company owner, as needed. This role requires a jack-of-all-trades professional who can work independently, prioritize tasks, and respond promptly to maintenance needs across multiple environments.

• Plumbing, basic electrical, drywall repair, painting, carpentry, doors, locks, and hardware
• Conduct routine building inspections
• Coordinate with vendors for specialized repairs
• Assist with office setups and furniture assembly
• Maintain building safety and functionality

• General home maintenance and repair
• Seasonal maintenance projects
• Urgent repair response as needed
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism

• Experience as a handyman or maintenance technician
• Knowledge of plumbing, electrical basics, carpentry, painting, and drywall
• Ability to work independently
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

• Trade certifications or vocational training
• Previous experience performing maintenance and repairs in commercial buildings, retail centers, office spaces, or multi-tenant properties
• Basic proficiency with smartphones and computers, including the ability to receive and respond to work orders, use maintenance or ticketing software, send emails/texts, and take/upload photos for documentation
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs and routine inspections
• Ability to read and interpret basic schematics, manuals, and work orders
• Strong time-management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
