Overview
Job Title:
Property Maintenance Technician
Job Type: Full-Time, 30-40 hours/week
Pay Range: $27-$30/hr depending on experience
Responsibilities- Clear and timely communication with company staff, vendors and tenants
- Painting: touch ups, full rooms, trim
- Minor drywall repairs
- Rekeying locks
- Repairing and unclogging toilets, sinks, bathtubs, showers, and exterior drains
- Complete property inspections to identify maintenance concerns and lease violations
- Detect and report the need for major maintenance repairs
- Determine appropriate action for repairs
- Respond to tenant maintenance requests
- Other maintenance tasks
- A minimum of 3 years maintenance technician or related experience
- Basic understanding of and experience with electrical, plumbing and painting
- Basic understanding of and experience with general carpentry
- Understanding of building systems
- Experience with and ability to use tools and power equipment
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks
- Organizational skills and attention to detail
- Minimum of basic computer skills required and ability to readily learn new programs
- Prefer knowledge and experience with general HVAC and appliance repair
- Reliable personal vehicle to commute between properties and office
- Valid driver’s license required
- Physical requirements include the ability to climb stairs, use ladders, lift a minimum of 50 lbs. without assistance, and stand for extended periods
- Paid vacation time after 1 year of employment
- $150/month travel reimbursement
