## Description Ron Tonkin Chevrolet has been servicing Portland’s automotive needs for decades and as always, business is growing! With that being said, we are interested in adding a Used Car Technician/Mechanic to our Service Department. Many of our clientele for our service department are used car owners so this position plays a significant role on our service team. The ideal candidate would be an individual with prior technician experience with a reliable track record.
*** Used Car Technician/Mechanic Responsibilities
**** Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
* Keep the shop area neat and clean.
* Communicate with the parts department to obtain needed parts.
* Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with the dealership.

*** Used Car Technician/Mechanic Qualifications
**** 1-3 years prior used car technician experience.
* Valid Driver’s License.
* Personal Tools.
* Corporate requirements:
Must be 18 years or older with a valid driver's license and clean driving record, able to pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen.
