Headquartered in Indianapolis, Fleet Services by Cox Automotive is one of the largest fleet maintenance companies in the country, providing on‑site mobile maintenance and repair services nationwide for light, medium, and heavy‑duty trucks and trailers.

Flee Tec Academy – Education & Career Path

Our paid educational program leads to a full‑time Diesel Technician position. The program includes four weeks of full‑time paid classroom training, with all travel expenses, hotel accommodations, and a weekly stipend covered. Upon completion, you will receive hands‑on training with a Lead Technician and an offer for a full‑time Mobile Diesel Mechanic role. Further classroom study may be required to continue skill development.

Schedule

& Compensation
  • 4 weeks paid classroom training; all travel expenses paid.
  • Free technical education.
  • Weekly stipend $250 (taxed).
  • Hourly: $13.72/h (or state minimum, whichever is greater) during the training period.
  • $19/h for six weeks during the second class.
  • $19/h + $250 stipend for the 4‑week second class in Indianapolis.
  • $21/h upon graduation.
Job Responsibilities
  • Perform preventative maintenance and general repairs on medium‑ and heavy‑duty trucks and trailers at customer locations.
  • Operate and maintain a state‑of‑the‑art company vehicle equipped with all necessary tools.
Qualifications
  • Desire to start a career as a Diesel Technician and become a Mobile Mechanic.
  • Willingness and ability to study hard.
  • Dedication to attend 4 weeks of training away from home.
  • Maturity level to focus on the task at hand.
  • Technical aptitude and passion for fixing vehicles.
  • Ability to operate an iPad.
  • Must be 21 years old to drive company trucks.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; preferred but not required.
  • Background check, driving record check, pre‑employment drug test, and physical exam required.
