Job Summary:
As a BMS Service Technician, you will perform duties that range from general troubleshooting on customer systems to support on BMS / low-voltage projects. You will be part of a team while also maintaining an independent role with a focus on ownership and organization throughout the entire service order process.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage your personal WIP (Work in Progress) Service Orders from generation through completion.
* Be a customer advocate while on your field service visits
* Read and interpret Control, Mechanical, Electrical drawings and circuit diagrams as needed
* Troubleshoot and diagnose BMS systems and networks to automate building systems.
* Program and commission BMS systems.
* Replace and/or repair building automation control equipment and devices.
* Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
* 5-6 years of experience preferred but not required.
* LEB preferred but not required
* Experience in the building controls automation industry preferred but not required.
* Experience in the light commercial / Residential HVAC industry preferred but not required.
* Tech-Savvy with computers.
* Strong attention to detail.
* Excellent command of the English language, both written and oral.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office.
* Commercial/construction service experience a plus.
* Class C driver's license and clean driver's record.
