Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, Building Maintenance

The RoleAs a Maintenance Technician, you will create an environment where people want to live. You will maintain the property to ensure good working order and pleasant curb appeal while providing excellent customer service to residents.
Qualifications- 2 years of multifamily maintenance experience highly desired.
- Hands‑on maintenance skills including plumbing, electrical, general carpentry, HVAC, appliances, pool, etc.
- EPA Type II or Universal certification highly desired; CPO is a plus.
- Availability to be on‑call for emergencies.
- Reliable transportation.
- Positive attitude and desire to learn and develop skills.
- Superior customer service and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic computer knowledge (Windows Word, Excel, internet, e‑mail).
- Provide exceptional customer service with every interaction and deliver high‑quality maintenance service.
- Complete assigned work orders from resident requests and preventative maintenance, diagnosing defects and making repairs per policies and safety standards.
- Prepare vacant apartment homes for leasing (make‑ready), including pre‑move‑out inspections, creating punch lists, scheduling vendors, obtaining supplies, completing tasks, and inspecting work.
- Assist in maintaining grounds, common areas, and amenities (trash pickup, pressure‑washing, general cleaning, painting curbs and signage).
- Support cost‑cutting by fixing parts when possible and using materials and tools efficiently.
- Conduct routine property inspections to identify safety concerns and communicate needs to management.
- Track inventories and report re‑ordering needs to the maintenance supervisor.
- Follow property management rules, regulations, and guidelines, including safety procedures and reporting accidents promptly.
- Comply with Fair Housing, ADA, and other applicable laws.
- Adopt required physical demands: frequent standing, walking, squatting, bending, lifting, and occasional travel to sister communities.

Compensation Range$22.40 — $24.40 USD
