The Role
As a Maintenance Technician, you will create an environment where people will want to live. You will maintain the property to ensure good working order and pleasant curb appeal while providing excellent customer service to your residents.
Must possess a high degree of professionalism and positive engagement for residents and the workforce.
Responsibilities Customer Service and Maintenance- Provides exceptional customer service with every interaction and delivers high‑quality maintenance service.
- Completes assigned work orders from resident requests and preventive maintenance, diagnosing issues and making repairs per policies and safety standards.
- Completes the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including inspections, punch lists, vendor coordination, supply procurement, task completion, and final inspection.
- Assists in maintaining grounds, common areas, and amenities by trash removal, pressure‑washing, general cleaning, and painting curbs and signage.
- Supports cost‑cutting and expense control by repairing instead of replacing parts when possible and using tools appropriately.
- Follows procedures for accessing, tracking, and returning tools, supplies, and equipment, and reports re‑order needs to the supervisor.
- Practices proper safety techniques and reports malfunctions, injuries, or safety issues promptly.
- Complies with safety and risk‑management policies, including OSHA training and incident reporting.
- Follows policies to ensure regulatory compliance and reports violations.
- Conducts all business in accordance with company policies, Fair Housing, ADA, and related laws.
- Essential staff; must adhere to all safety and business protocols.
- May work during inclement weather.
- Frequent standing, walking, and physical tasks (squatting, bending, twisting, pushing, pulling).
- Travel to sister communities may be required.
- 2 years of multifamily maintenance experience (highly desired).
- Hands‑on maintenance skills: plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, appliances, pools, etc.
- EPA Type II or Universal certification desired; CPO a plus.
- Availability to be on‑call for emergencies.
- Reliable transportation.
- Positive attitude and desire to learn and develop skills.
- Superior customer service and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic computer knowledge (Windows Word, Excel, internet, e‑mail).

$23 – $25 USD per hour
