Position: Limited Maintenance Electrician (LME)

Job Description

The Limited Maintenance Electrician (LME) is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of facility systems and manufacturing equipment. This role involves performing preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems within the scope of the LME license, in compliance with Oregon state regulations.

Shift
1st Shift: Monday - Friday 6:00am - 2:15pm

Pay and Benefits
This position is eligible for a performance‑based bonus subject to Company plans. Compensation decisions depend on skill set, experience, licensure, and business needs. The wage range for this role is accurate as of the posting date.

Responsibilities
  • Follow all safety and security rules and avoid equipment hazards per operating instructions.
  • Conduct ongoing safety inspections of all equipment in assigned areas.
  • Report safety hazards or concerns to the immediate supervisor.
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas at all times.
  • Understand industrial electrical systems and the National Electrical Code.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and modify programmable logic controllers independently.
  • Read and interpret ladder logic diagrams and use multi‑meter functions correctly.
  • Read and understand mechanical and electrical drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and install 480V, 240V, 120V AC/DC circuits, motor controls, and power wiring.
  • Perform major installations and general maintenance and repairs.
  • Learn and understand all plant machines and equipment to support timely repairs.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and repair on machines and equipment.
  • Install conduit for electrical wire relocations on machinery.
  • Apply proper grounding and bonding techniques and perform testing.
  • Demonstrate the ability to learn new equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Collaborate with vendors to identify parts and troubleshoot machinery issues.
  • Work effectively with production, maintenance, and staff, and independently when needed.
  • Assist maintenance team members with timely and accurate repairs and adjustments.
  • Participate in incident and ARC investigations as required.
  • Use eAM or equivalent CMMS, Microsoft Outlook, and Microsoft Word for maintenance documentation.
Qualifications Minimum Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship for employment‑visa status.
  • Must hold a current Limited Maintenance Electrician (LME) or Limited Journeyman Manufacturing Plant Electrician (PJ) or another applicable electrical license in the state of Oregon.
  • Must have three (3) years’ experience repairing automation equipment.
  • Must have five (5) years’ experience as a manufacturing LME.
Preferred Qualifications
  • At least have electrician vocational school training or an equivalent background.
  • Strong ability to interpret PLC ladder logic in RSLogix 500 and Studio 5000 to troubleshoot plant equipment, including sensors, VFDs, motors, pressure gauges, pumps, and pneumatic valves.
