Maintenance Technician

Overview

Avanath is a top property management company committed to affordable housing and cultivating the American Dream. As a Maintenance Technician, you will maintain our properties, ensuring functionality, curb appeal, and resident satisfaction.

• Provide outstanding customer service and deliver high‑quality maintenance in response to resident requests and preventive schedules.
• Conduct work order management, troubleshooting, and repair of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, appliances, pools, etc.
• Complete make‑ready processes for vacant units, including inspections, punch lists, vendor coordination, and final inspections.
• Assist with grounds maintenance, cleaning, painting, and basic infrastructure upkeep.
• Manage inventory, requisition supplies, and support cost‑control efforts through effective use of tools and parts.
• Follow safety protocols, report incidents, attend safety meetings, and comply with OSHA and other regulations.
• Adhere to company policies, Fair Housing, ADA, and all applicable housing laws.

• Minimum 2 years of multifamily maintenance experience.
• Hands‑on skills in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, appliances, and pool maintenance.
• EPA Type II or Universal certification preferred; CPO a plus.
• Strong communication and customer‑service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to be on‑call for emergencies.
• Basic computer proficiency (Word, Excel, email).
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
