Job OverviewWe are a growing provider of fire and life safety services supporting commercial, industrial, and institutional facilities in the region. We are seeking a dedicated Fire Protection Inspector to join our engineering team in a permanent, on‑site role. The candidate will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and troubleshooting fire protection systems and ensuring compliance with applicable safety standards and regulations.
Responsibilities- Conduct regular inspections and testing of fire sprinkler and fire alarm systems to ensure proper operation and regulatory compliance.
- Perform preventative maintenance on fire protection systems to prevent malfunctions and extend system reliability.
- Inspect and maintain life safety systems and backflow prevention devices to ensure effective operation.
- Prepare and maintain detailed technical documentation of all inspection and maintenance activities.
- Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries and provide excellent customer service.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose system faults, performing necessary repairs or replacements.
- Travel to various sites to perform field service inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
- Conduct safety inspections, identify potential hazards, and take immediate action to eliminate them.
- Stay current on industry trends, technologies, and regulations related to fire protection and safety.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Level 2 NICET certification.
- Proven experience with fire sprinkler and alarm systems, inspection and testing, preventative maintenance, life safety systems, backflow prevention, technical documentation, customer service, troubleshooting, field service, system diagnostics, and safety inspections.
- Excellent technical knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and resolve issues promptly.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare and maintain detailed technical documentation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing time effectively and prioritizing workload to meet deadlines.
- Strong commitment to safety, with the ability to identify hazards and take appropriate action.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to various sites as required.
