• Support trenching and excavation: set up trench shields, sheeting, and shoring equipment.
• Handle project materials: manage and position pipes, materials, and equipment for precise installation.
• Ensure quality control: oversee the installation process to meet project standards and design specifications, focusing on proper bedding and back filling.
• Team collaboration: work closely with pipe crew, Pipe Crew Foreman, and other team members to coordinate activities.
• Maintain clear communication: keep open lines with team and supervisors, sharing progress updates and addressing challenges.
• Problem‑solve onsite: proactively identify and resolve any issues during the pipe‑laying process.
• Equipment maintenance: assist in maintaining tools and equipment essential for pipe installation.
• Safety champion: prioritize safety, adhering to procedures and OSHA regulations.

• Proven experience as a Heavy Machine Operator in the water and sewer utility installation and construction industry.
• Wet utility experience required.
• Current driver’s license and clean motor vehicle record.
• Class A or B CDL and alignment with Insituform motor vehicle standards (Hazmat endorsement preferred).
• Competency with excavator/track hoe, rubber tire backhoe, front‑end loader, and skid steer.
• Proficiency in pipe installation techniques, including bedding and back filling.
• Knowledge of construction plans, blueprints, and underground utility installation procedures.
• Comfortable working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions and at different job sites.

Limited‑time sign‑on bonus of $4,000 for new hires with a valid CDL license; a reduced amount is available for those without a current CDL license.
