Electrician
We are seeking a skilled and safety-focused electrician to join our maintenance team.
They are responsible for performing preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on electrical systems and industrial equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations. This role leads the installation, troubleshooting, and repair of power distribution, control systems, motors, VFDs, and production equipment while maintaining compliance with electrical codes and OSHA regulations.
The successful candidate is a licensed electrician with industrial or commercial experience, excellent troubleshooting abilities, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on electrical systems and equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation.
- Lead the installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems, including power distribution systems, control systems, control panels, motors, VFDs, and machinery components.
- Train and mentor maintenance team members in the safe and effective execution of basic electrical maintenance tasks.
- Assist in the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Complete assigned work orders in a timely manner and provide daily progress reports to the Maintenance Supervisor, including completed work, ongoing projects, and identified issues.
- Maintain accurate inventories of electrical components, materials, tools, and spare parts to support maintenance operations.
- Demonstrate, promote, and enforce compliance with electrical safety standards, company policies, OSHA regulations, and applicable electrical codes.
- Identify, evaluate, and recommend process improvements, best practices, and innovative solutions to enhance equipment reliability, safety, operational efficiency, and overall maintenance performance.
Education and/or experience:
High School Diploma or GED. Minimum three (3) years hands on commercial or industrial electrical experience under a licensed electrician. LME License required.
