Sheetrock Laborer
Join the team of a leading specialty distributor of drywall, ceiling tiles, steel framing and other building materials used by commercial and residential contractors! The Sheetrock Laborer provides delivery support to the branch location, and you will assist with the safe and accurate handling of material from the warehouse to the delivery location. Monday-Friday from 6am - 4pm usually--occasionally projects can occur at 3-4am and go until 8-9pm, so there's OT to be had!
$22.00/hr
A Sheetrock Laborer will be responsible for:
- Accurately distributing and placing all specified building materials as indicated on the order ticket - this includes large wall boards, drywall sheets, bags of concrete and drywall mudding material
- Examining and recording all material transported to and/or from the delivery site
- Verifying and recording the quantity and type of building materials being handled
- Responsible for having the delivered product neatly placed and appearing as orderly and presentable as possible
- Cleaning up debris created by the delivery process and properly disposing of it before leaving the delivery site
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
- Knowledge in applicable building material products is preferred
- Ability to unload, transport and position all building materials as required
- Ability to follow all safe and applicable methods of transporting material from the delivery vehicle, by way of stairways, elevators and boom operations
- Ability to be trained and licensed/certified to operate forklift equipment
- Ability to stand, climb, reach, bend, and twist throughout complete shift
- Ability to consistently lift and carry 115 lbs with assistance
- Must not be afraid of heights - will be delivering heavy materials to job sites and will use outside elevators, scaffolding and ladders
