NW Lift Truck Service is excited to be seeking a person for a full-time position as a
Mobile Forklift Service Technician
for the Portland area
. We are a fast-paced, stable company that has prided ourselves on quality relationships with our employees and customers.
NW Lift Truck Service has been in business for over 35 years and provides a wide range of services on forklifts and other heavy equipment. In addition, we have a full rental fleet of forklifts, scissors and telehandlers to better serve our customers.

NWLT will be offering a pay range of $25.00/hr to $35.00/hr depending on your skill set and professional experience

- We are seeking a person that has 5 or more years of experience as a forklift technician in the forklift industry
- This role also requires a high level of customer service and industry knowledge
- A working knowledge of heavy equipment is also required
- Some examples of the brands that we work on are:
Tailift, Hangcha, Castle, Sky Track, Hyster, Crown, Yale, Clark, Doosan, Toyota, Genie, JLG, Platform Lifts, Arial Lift, Order Selectors. - As a Mobile Forklift Service Technician, you will be given a list of accounts to manage and will be dispatched from our home office in Portland to the customer location
- You will need a strong attention to detail, physical strength, as well as customer service and problem-solving skills
- You must have your own tools and toolbox or equivalent tool storage
- You must also be able to pass a drug test, background check and have a clean driving record (minimal and minor infractions excluded)
Job Knowledge we are seeking:
- Advanced Mechanical knowledge of Gas, Propane, and Diesel engines
- Great working knowledge of Hydraulic systems
- Ability to repair and/or rebuild Hydraulic cylinders
- Good working knowledge of electrical forklifts, pallet jacks and other similar equipment
- The ability to read and understand complex electrical diagnostic schematics
- An understanding of complex electrical systems on forklifts and similar equipment including 12, 24, 36, and 48 volts
- The ability to use and understand complex troubleshooting software to better diagnose error codes and engine codes read through communication ports (i.e., OBD-ll ports and similar)
