ABOUT

THE ROLE

The Maintenance Mechanic works with various departments across the manufacturing environment to plan, schedule, and perform mechanical equipment maintenance, reducing delays, costs, and breakdowns.

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH
  • Responsible for the maintenance of plant machinery and equipment.
  • Maintains all tools and work areas in an orderly fashion.
  • Interprets mechanical prints, drawings, and technical data to conduct maintenance of machinery.
  • Assists engineering and production departments in the development and execution of ideas to improve products, machinery, and methods.
  • Responsible for timely communicating and coordinating plant machinery needs and requirements with supervisory personnel.
  • Provides input on preventive/predictive maintenance programs.
  • Assist electricians and engineers on routine tasks as needed.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to health, safety, and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.

Education:

high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)

Field of Study Preferred: N/A

Required

Work Experience:

Four years of industrial manufacturing experience

Travel Requirements: N/A

Additional Requirements:

  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize-approved Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), including but not limited to respirators. Employees who are required to wear respirators must be clean‑shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
