Body Shop Technician

Position Overview

Body Shop Technician responsible for repairing vehicle bodies and damaged parts in accordance with manufacturer standards and company specifications. Valid Driver’s License required.

Salary range: $50,000 - $150,000 (depending on experience).

• Repairs vehicles per estimate and according to manufacturer standards.
• Checks parts against estimate and ensures proper parts are ordered and received.
• Prepares vehicles for body repair work.
• Notifies management of any additional repairs needed.
• Notifies management of any difficulties or problems that may prevent a quality job from being performed or cause a change in the promised time.
• Maintains tools and equipment in proper state of repair.
• Maintains and wears all required safety and health personal protective equipment, including respirator, as recommended by the equipment manufacturer.
• Complies with all laws and regulations pertaining to paint, thinners, and other hazardous materials. Reports deviations to management.
• Cooperates and assists other employees in repair and prep of vehicles.
• Understands, keeps abreast of, and complies with federal, state, and local regulations that affect body shop operations, such as hazardous waste disposal and OSHA Right-to-Know.
• Operates all tools and equipment safely.
• Other duties as assigned.

• High degree of product and technical knowledge.

• Must be a team player with a strong sense of commitment to the customer.
• Must be self‑motivated and have strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Must conduct oneself in a professional manner.
• Must be able to successfully pass a background check and a pre‑hire drug and alcohol test.

• Valid Driver’s License required.
