Lightmen Painting is hiring a lead painter to help run projects, maintain quality, and keep production moving in the field.

This role is for someone with strong hands‑on painting experience who can lead by example, keep jobs organized, communicate clearly, and maintain standards without constant supervision. You should know how to prep properly, paint efficiently, solve field problems, and help less experienced painters stay productive.

The lead painter is not just another body on the job. This person helps set the tone, maintain flow, and protect quality. We want someone who works hard, thinks ahead, communicates like an adult, and takes pride in clean work.

Requirements
  • Strong professional painting experience
  • Ability to lead small crews or guide other painters in the field
  • Strong prep, brush, roll, and finish skills
  • Spray experience preferred
  • Ability to maintain production while protecting quality
  • Strong communication and reliability
  • Comfortable making field decisions and solving problems
  • Professional attitude with clients and team members
  • Reliable transportation required
  • Valid driver’s license preferred
  • Experience with residential repaints, exteriors, interiors, cabinets, or commercial work is a plus

Responsibilities
  • Perform high-quality painting work in the field
  • Help lead and direct daily jobsite activity
  • Maintain quality standards and strong production flow
  • Assist with jobsite setup, prep, masking, painting, and cleanup
  • Communicate clearly with leadership and crew members
  • Keep jobsites clean, safe, and organized
  • Solve field issues professionally and efficiently
  • Help ensure projects stay on scope and on standard
