HVAC Residential Maintenance Technician
Location: Portland, OR
Pay Range: $25.00-$30.00/hour, based on experience

We're hiring a Residential HVAC Maintenance Technician with at least one year of experience who takes pride in completing detailed inspections, communicating clearly, and helping homeowners keep their heating and cooling systems operating safely and efficiently.

- Complete residential HVAC maintenance, tune-ups, and safety inspections
- Inspect furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and related equipment
- Clean and test system components to confirm proper operation
- Identify developing mechanical, electrical, safety, or performance concerns
- Help homeowners understand the condition of their equipment
- Discuss available repair and system-improvement options when appropriate
- Record accurate inspection findings, recommendations, and completed work
- Coordinate with dispatch to maintain an efficient daily schedule
- Protect customers' homes and leave each work area clean
- Uphold company safety and customer-service expectations
- At least one year of residential HVAC experience
- Familiarity with residential heating and cooling equipment
- Basic mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting abilities
- Ability to complete detailed inspections and follow maintenance procedures
- Honest, professional communication with customers and coworkers
- Comfortable discussing system concerns and available solutions
- Ability to organize and complete multiple maintenance calls each day
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
- EPA Certification
- NATE Certification or willingness to obtain
You don't need to be a senior service technician to succeed in this position. You do need a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a willingness to continue learning.
You'll be trusted to manage your maintenance calls, provide homeowners with accurate information, and involve an experienced service technician when a system requires more advanced diagnostics or repairs. This role also provides an opportunity to strengthen your technical abilities and work toward future service-technician responsibilities.
