Ground Equipment Mechanic

Ground Support Equipment Mechanics at Horizon Air keep our airport operations moving by inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing tugs, belt loaders, GPUs, and other ramp equipment. In this Engineering, Maintenance & Asset Management role, you'll perform preventive maintenance, diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues, and ensure timely, accurate documentation. Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair ground support equipment (tugs, belt loaders, GPUs, de-ice and baggage equipment).
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance, safety checks, and component overhauls per maintenance programs and manuals.
• Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and diesel systems using diagnostic tools and technical data.
• Document work performed in maintenance systems, ensuring regulatory, safety, and company compliance.
• Collaborate with ramp, flight, and maintenance teams to prioritize equipment readiness and minimize downtime.
• Respond to equipment issues on the ramp, sometimes in adverse weather and time-critical situations.
• Follow all safety, environmental, and hazmat procedures; maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Support continuous improvement, training, and standardization efforts within Engineering, Maintenance & Asset Management.
