Cool Sys is seeking a Commercial Refrigeration Service Technician to join our Technical & Maintenance team in the HVAC wholesale industry. In this field-based role, you will install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial refrigeration and HVAC-R systems for retail, commercial, and industrial customers. You'll perform diagnostics on rack systems, walk-ins, reach-ins, and controls, ensuring peak efficiency, safety, and reliability. Working independently and with teams, you will complete service tickets, support startup and retrofits, follow safety and EPA guidelines, and deliver customer-focused, high-quality technical service while continually growing your skills.

Responsibilities

  • Install, troubleshoot, and repair commercial refrigeration and HVAC-R systems
  • Diagnose and service rack systems, walk-ins, reach-ins, and associated controls
  • Perform preventive maintenance to ensure system reliability and efficiency
  • Handle refrigerants in compliance with EPA and company standards
  • Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical documentation
  • Document work performed, parts used, and recommendations in service tickets
  • Adhere to company and OSHA safety procedures at all times
  • Collaborate with team members and support startup, retrofit, and special projects
  • Communicate effectively with customers on findings, options, and system status
  • Participate in ongoing technical training and skills development
