OverviewLocation:
Multiple positions available in the Upper Midwest Region (Portland, OR; Minneapolis, MN; Kansas City, MO; Des Moines, IA; Denver, CO; Omaha, NE; West Fargo, ND).
Schedule:
Monday - Friday 7:30AM - 4:30 PM.
Pay Range:
Starting Pay will range between $25.00 - $35.00 per hour depending on qualifications and experience. This is a full-time, hourly position. $3,000 Sign On Bonus!
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain rotary screw and reciprocating air compressors and related compressed air system components.
- Use precision measuring tools for diagnostic troubleshooting of compressed air equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance and assist customers with existing and unanticipated equipment concerns.
- Collaborate with Service Coordinator on ordering and gathering parts and supplies needed for installations and repairs.
- Assist and train apprentices and Field Service Technicians.
- Communicate effectively with customers and co-workers, verbally and in writing.
- Provide technical assistance on pre-commissioning, start-ups, installations, and repairs of compressed air systems, including hands-on work to ensure equipment operates to customer requirements with limited supervision.
- Aware customers of how Ingersoll Rand products, services, and solutions (e.g., Preventative Maintenance, Diagnostics, Audits, and Leak Detection) can benefit operations.
- 2+ years of experience troubleshooting industrial or commercial mechanical systems.
- Valid driver's license for a minimum of 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations including, but not limited to: DUI in the previous 5 years, Hit & Run, License Suspension, Reckless/Careless Driving or multiple smaller infractions in the previous 3 years.
- On-call availability is required (not during the first 90 days to acclimate to schedule). On-call rotations may occur every 4 weeks or more, as determined by the hiring manager.
- This position is highly physical and requires regular use of hands, fingers, walking, stooping, kneeling, and lifting/moving weight in accordance with safety policy.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to read wiring schematics and diagrams for all equipment.
- Advanced network systems installations (IMMC/ASC, X Series Automation).
- Basic vibration troubleshooting.
- Basic air quality knowledge (system compressor/dryer, air treatment).
- Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office; basic computer usage; handheld devices (smartphone, iPad) and network-based operations.
- Maintain proper business travel practices in a cost-efficient manner.
- 2+ years of industrial air compressor maintenance experience.
- Degree program in Electrical/Electronic Technology or HVAC with knowledge of circuits, wiring diagrams, motors/controls, PLCs, HVAC electricity, controls, refrigeration systems and/or refrigerant/EPA certification.
- Veterans/Active-Duty Military are encouraged to apply.
- Service Technicians travel daily within a 3-hour radius in the service area.
- Occasional travel for training (1-2 times per year, one week each).
- Company vehicle and fuel card provided.
