Schedule: Day Shift | Typically 6:00/7:00 AM–2:00/3:00 PM

Tek One Solutions is seeking Level I and Level II Data Center Fiber Technicians for a long-term data center project in the Portland, Oregon area.
This role is focused specifically on pulling, routing, and dressing pre-terminated fiber optic cabling
. Technicians will work with varying fiber counts, including potential ribbon fiber
, throughout an active data center environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for technicians looking to gain or expand experience with large-scale data center fiber infrastructure.
Pay RatesPay is based on experience and technical ability.
Responsibilities- Pull and route pre-terminated fiber optic cabling
- Work with various fiber counts, including potential ribbon fiber
- Route fiber through designated pathways and infrastructure
- Measure and dress cabling according to project standards
- Maintain proper bend radius and fiber-handling practices
- Organize and secure cabling cleanly throughout the installation
- Follow drawings, pathway requirements, and onsite direction
- Identify and report damaged or compromised cabling
- Maintain professional workmanship and jobsite organization
- Follow all data center safety, security, and access requirements
- Previous low-voltage, structured cabling, or data center experience preferred
- Basic understanding of fiber optic cabling
- Experience pulling and routing cable
- Strong reliability and attention to detail
- Ability to follow installation instructions and work as part of a crew
- Experience pulling and routing fiber in commercial or data center environments
- Comfortable working with higher-count fiber
- Ribbon fiber experience is a plus
- Ability to work independently and follow detailed installation standards
- OSHA 10 required
- OSHA 30 accepted
- Ability to pass a background check
- Ability to pass a 5-panel drug screening
- Standard tools and PPE required
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to complete site-specific orientation prior to starting
