Level 1 Installers perform basic installation tasks under supervision while developing the skills necessary to advance within the installation team. Participates in regular 1 on 1 with manager.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities1) Installation Support Assist installation crews with furniture installation tasks including:
Assembling furniture components
Moving and staging materials
Installing basic furniture components
Preparing work areas for installation
Follow direction from Foremen and senior installers.
2) Material Handling Assist with:
Unloading furniture deliveries
Transporting materials within the jobsite
Organizing products for installation
Protecting furniture from damage during installation
Help maintain jobsite organization and efficiency.
3) Basic Installation Tasks Perform basic installation activities including:
Installing simple furniture components
Assisting with panel assembly
Hardware installation
Furniture adjustments and alignment
Proper use of power tools to assist with installation
Develop familiarity with manufacturer installation standards.
4) Safety & Jobsite Practices Follow all company and job site safety policies including:
Proper use of PPESafe lifting and material handling
Maintaining clean and organized work areas
Following jobsite safety rules and procedures5) Skill Development Learn installation techniques, tools, and procedures through on-the-job training.

Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)
Basic mechanical aptitude
Ability to learn installation tools and procedures
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Attention to detail
Ability to follow instructions and job site protocols
Education / Experience Education High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience No prior furniture installation experience required
Construction, warehouse, or labor experience preferred
Language Skills Ability to read, comprehend, write and communicate in English Follow simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
Ability to effectively present information in one on one and small group situations to customers and other employees
Work Environment &
Physical Requirements Work performed primarily on commercial jobsites
Frequent lifting of furniture components (up to 75 lbs with assistance)
Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work with tools for extended periods
Use of installation tools and equipment required
Travel to jobsites within the service region required
Some early mornings, extended hours, or weekend work based on project schedules
Must have a valid driver’s license, maintain a clean driving record and meet all eligibility requirements to drive a company vehicle
Ability to pass a drug screen and criminal background check
