We serve individuals experiencing incarceration, those reentering the community, those on forms of supervision, their families, and their children in Oregon. We deliver evidence-based, trauma-, gender- and culturally-responsive cognitive behavioral-based programs, including our Parenting Inside Out curriculum.

What You Will Be Counted On To Do

The Parent Partner provides peer support and group services to system-impacted individuals and families to support family reunification, stabilization and resiliency. This role requires delivering individual and group services to parents with excellence while supporting Center for Family Success programming. You will engage with participants in a holistic, strengths-based, healing-centered way and collaborate with prisons, child welfare, parole/probation, community partners and families to help individuals stay in the community and build positive parenting behaviors.

Responsibilities
  • Provide peer support services to participants at the Center for Family Success, in the community, in correctional facilities and with partner sites.
  • Conduct wraparound case management including assessment, action planning, referral and resource navigation; use basic needs assistance and incentives to support success.
  • Deliver transition and reentry support services, including reach-ins and support on the day of release.
  • Teach and model positive parenting and cognitive/social skills; reinforce progress.
  • Facilitate classes and support groups; manage materials and prep.
  • Support parents’ engagement with groups and services; communicate with facilitators, advocates and staff.
  • Coordinate with parole/probation officers and DHS workers to ensure compliance with conditions.
  • Implement proactive outreach to identify, engage, and enroll participants.
  • Coordinate services with other providers and maintain communication as needed.
  • Assist parents in developing positive family relationships and support networks.
  • Transport participants as needed; assist with family engagement events.
  • Document thoroughly; track attendance and complete case notes; participate in staff meetings and training.
  • Act as a mandatory reporter of abuse.
  • Other duties as assigned.
