Worksource Oregon is partnering with an employer who, for the last 60 years, has been dedicated to preventing homelessness by partnering with people on their journey to stability and opportunity. They are currently looking for qualified candidates for the position of Bilingual Spanish Housing Specialist
.

REQUIREMENTS
  • High school diploma/GED
  • 3+ years of housing navigation or homelessness services experience
  • Experience working with high-barrier or chronically homeless populations
  • Homelessness Management Information Systems (HMIS) experience
  • Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Personal transportation and a valid driver’s license with acceptable driving history
  • Employer will perform a background check and DMV check
PREFERENCES
  • Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field
JOB DUTIES
  • Provide advanced, community-based support services using a Housing First framework for individuals and families experiencing chronic homelessness and complex housing instability
  • Includes housing navigation, advocacy, case management, landlord engagement, mentorship of staff, compliance support, and coordination with service providers
  • Manage high-acuity caseloads and conduct screenings, intake, and referrals
  • Provide trauma-informed, person-centered case management and housing support
  • Support housing search, landlord negotiation, lease-up, and retention
  • Coordinate with healthcare, mental health, employment, and social service providers
  • Mentor Housing Specialist II staff and assist with onboarding and training
  • Maintain compliance with program, agency, and funder requirements

    Support HMIS documentation, audits, and quality assurance activities
  • Represent the program with community partners and landlords
